Every parent in Beirut knows the afternoon that needs an answer: too hot, too wet or too long to fill at home, and children with more energy than the flat can hold. The answer is usually a playground with a roof, and the city now has good ones, from a trampoline park in the old souks to climbing structures several levels high.
The five below cover Beirut itself, from Downtown and Achrafieh to Hazmieh, and the coast north of it at Naccache and Dbayeh. Some are built for climbing, some for bouncing and one for everything at once, and a couple of them host birthday parties, so book ahead at the weekend.
Hours change with school terms and holidays. Check each one on LYVV before you go.
